Hello and Welcome!

 Hello

💛💛💛
I’m Emma Kingston.
I’m an Actress.
I’m Jewish
I'm 20 Something
I’m a part time singing teacher in order to fund being an Actress.

For a while I’ve wanted to put something out there, so here goes.

Whoever said being a teenager was the hardest part of your life, they lied! As a teenager I was doing my GCSE’s, going on Israel Tour, getting "drunk" on Bacardi Breezer's (my choice of drink hasn't changed) and planning my life as a Broadway Star. The plan was that I would play Eponine in Les Mis in the West End, I would be so loved and adored that I would be transferred with the show to Broadway, win a Tony Award and at the Tony Awards sing the opening number with Neil Patrick Harris.

Don’t get me wrong, I still lived out one of my childhood dreams. I played Eponine in Les Mis 60 times and sobbed my eyes out after my first show as I was so overwhelmed. It’s just not how I dreamed my life would be (see what I did there) at this point in time.

Society puts so much pressure on young people. Community puts so much pressure on young people, whether it's conscious or not. I'm in my late 20's, I'm single, I live with my Sister and I still call my mum when a house hold appliance breaks.

What I have realised about myself is I dream a lot and I dream big, but as i’ve gotten older, I let fear take hold of my dreams. They have yet to become reality. It’s not down to me not working hard, it’s down to fear of failure.

Why am I scared to fail?
Is it the fear of disappointing parents? …Yes
Is it the fear of disappointing the whole Jewish Community? …Yes
Is it the fear of not making enough of a mark to leave a legacy? …Yes

Then I thought, i’m only scared of my failure affecting others rather than thinking about myself.
So, I say FUCK FEAR! From here on out, I intend to make my dreams reality. I’m not sure the Tony award for Eponine in Les Mis is still up for grabs (considering Frances Ruffelle won in 1987), it’s time to get a move on.

The phone doesn’t always ring, it’s time to create my own YES’s.

When you get lead down the wrong path, it’s time to get a new sat nav!

Enjoy my site, keep reading
